Giving wood a second life

We collect unwanted wood from across Sheffield and the surrounding area, keep it out of landfill, and put it back to work — through direct sales, handcrafted products, and woodworking courses.

We are currently in the process of starting up and aim to raise £30,000 so we can buy a van and secure premises. In the meantime, we are busy designing and running courses in pop-up locations, applying for funding and making wood-based connections in and around Sheffield. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.

Every piece of wood has a story. We make sure it gets a next chapter — whether that’s on your workbench, in one of our products, or as part of a course.

We come to you

We pick up unwanted wood from construction sites and households across Sheffield and the surrounding area. No job too big or too small.

2

Sort and prepare

Back at our workshop, we inspect, sort, and prepare every piece. We assess what it’s best suited for and get it ready for its next life.

New Life

Put to best use

Good wood gets sold to the public or crafted into our own products. We also run woodworking courses. Only the truly unusable goes to chipping — typically into chipboard.

Have wood to collect?

We are not currently booking wood collections as we haven’t got premises yet. We hope to be operational very soon.

When we start collecting wood we will have a large truck and will be able to collect from Sheffield and the surrounding area up to an hour’s drive away. We’ll collect from households, building sites, offices – anywhere that has more than 4 yd3 of wood to collect. It will be fast, convenient and inexpensive.
